Questions, answered.

Does the alarm really ring in Silent mode?

Yes. On iOS 26.1+, Fajr Up uses Apple’s AlarmKit — the same system framework as the built-in clock. Your alarm breaks through Silent mode, Focus and Do Not Disturb at full volume. On older iOS versions a reliable fallback alarm takes over.

Is my recitation uploaded anywhere?

No. The Qur’an and du‘a recognition runs entirely on your iPhone with an on-device, Qur’an-tuned speech engine. Your voice never leaves your device — it works offline, too.

I can’t read Arabic — can I still use the recitation missions?

Yes. During onboarding you choose how you want to read: Arabic script, transliteration (Latin letters) or the translation in your language. The missions adapt to your choice.

What if I’m fasting — can it wake me for Suhūr?

Yes. Fajr Up follows the Hijri calendar and knows Ramadan, the white days, Mondays & Thursdays, ʿĀshūrāʾ and ʿArafa. It wakes you before Fajr for Suhūr and sends a reminder the evening before a fasting day.

Is there a lifetime option?

Yes. Pay €39.99 once and Fajr Up is yours forever — no subscription, no renewals, all future updates included. Use it for three years and a won morning costs about 3.7 cents; every year after that makes it cheaper.

Can I really not snooze at all?

There is no snooze button. The only way to stop the alarm is to complete your chosen mission — reciting, scanning, moving. That’s the whole point: by the time you’re done, you’re awake.

Which languages does the app support?

Fajr Up runs in seven languages: English, Arabic, German, Turkish, French, Spanish and Bosnian. Qur’an and du‘a content is always in Arabic — with transliteration and translation in your language.
